SHOPKIND CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES TO ADDRESS ABUSE AND VIOLENCE TOWARDS RETAILERS
The NFSP proudly supports the ShopKind campaign, spearheaded by the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) on behalf of the UK Home Office, is set to launch on the week commencing 17th April. The campaign aims to address the increasing problem of abuse and violence towards shopkeepers. The campaign's message is simple: to promote kindness and respect towards shopworkers and to ensure that they are protected from harm while performing their duties.
The campaign urges the public to be mindful of shopworkers’ essential role in supporting people and emphasises that we should all treat workers and other customers with respect and kindness.
The ACS has released a PDF providing information on the campaign's objectives and how retailers can get involved, including sharing the message on social media and encouraging positive behaviour in your store amongst staff and customers alike.
