NFSP CEO, Calum Greenhow has written to the Royal Mail and the Communications Workers Union (CWU) calling on them to settle their dispute in order to avoid strike action that would cause significant loss of remuneration to postmasters.
The CWU announced today (28 September) that a further 19 strike days in October, November and December.
In his letter to Royal Mail, Mr Greenhow wrote “We support our colleagues to be properly and fairly remunerated, however we do not wish irrevocable damage to be done to the relationship between Postmasters and our customers, especially in the run-up to such a crucial time as Christmas.”
