Some nefarious actors are trying to scam people by offering to help them claim Government assistance for the Energy Relief Scheme. They are asking for bank details.

Please be aware that no action is required by you. The discount will be applied automatically to your energy bills, and you do not need to give out your personal details.

If you get a text from anyone (image below) offering assistance and asking for bank details or any personal information, you are advised to ignore it and block the number.
