In Your Own Words: Family and Relationships Paper published

The Horizon Inquiry’s listening project has today released the first in a series of papers relating to the wider impact of the Horizon scandal.

In Your Own Words, which launched in March, allowed any individuals affected by the Horizon scandal to tell the Inquiry about their experiences anonymously.

The paper is titled Family and Relationships, and Leila Pilgrim, Secretary to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry, said: “In this paper, you will read what we have been told about relationships that have broken down, years lost to loneliness and depression, or children who sometimes felt they had to grow up too quickly.”

In Your Own Words has so far received approximately 240 submissions, and Leila added: “We hope that this project will culminate in sensitive and appropriately balanced opportunities to learn from the scandal and ensure that the human impacts are not forgotten.”
