Subpostmasters whose businesses have been adversely affected by COVID-19 since 14 July will be able to claim a grant payment through the Government’s Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS).
The first round of SEISS covered the three-month period up to 30 June, and the scheme has been extended for a second and final round which covers July, August and September.
Successful applicants will receive a single taxable grant – capped at £6,570 - worth 70% of average monthly trading profits to cover a three-month period. The average monthly trading profit is calculated using your total trading profits over the last three tax years.
Applicants must make their claim on or before 19 October 2020.
