NFSP conference 2020 cancelled; AGM announced

Jul 6, 2020 | NFSP

Mr Peter Hall

NFSP conference 2020. Due to COVID-19, the NFSP’s annual conference, originally scheduled to take place in May 2020, was provisionally pushed back to October. We have now taken the decision to cancel the 2020 event and plan ahead for conference 2021.

While the lockdown is easing, there has not been a change in the rules around mass gatherings. The NFSP conference is a high-quality, three-day event, involving a wide range of speakers and contributors, and bringing together subpostmasters from all corners of the UK.

The conference takes time to organise and, as there is still uncertainty about what the future holds, we have taken the pragmatic and safety-conscious decision to cancel and pick up again next year.

Details of the 2021 conference will be provided nearer the time.

NFSP AGM 2020. The NFSP will hold a virtual AGM at 11am on Wednesday 29 July (via Zoom). The meeting agenda will be as follows:

  • Opening of the AGM and update from the Chief Executive Officer;
  • Consider and vote on the following resolutions:
    • To receive the financial statements for the year ended 30 September 2019.
    • To reappoint Lucraft, Hodgson and Dawes LLP as auditors of the company to hold office until the conclusion of the next general meeting at which accounts are laid.

The financial statements for the year ended 30 September 2019 will be available on the NFSP website by 10 July 2020.

Registration is required in order to attend the AGM. Email to register (deadline Friday 17 July). Please be sure to include in your email the following: your name, post office name and FAD.
