New lockdown restrictions in England

Nov 6, 2020 |

Please note that the following information applies to England only and does not affect restrictions already in place in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

On Thursday 5 November the Government introduced new national lockdown restrictions in England which will remain in place until at least 2 December.

Post offices have been classified as essential services and subpostmasters have been designated as essential workers (also known as ‘keyworkers’). This allows you to keep your premises open for as long as you feel it is safe to do so, and to provide ‘non-essential services’ as part of your retail offer.

You are encouraged to continue to follow the appropriate health and safety guidelines – for more information, see the latest message to subpostmasters from Post Office Ltd Group Retail & Franchise Network Director Amanda Jones HERE.

Full details from Government on the new restrictions are available HERE.
